Before requesting an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals page to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.

How To Request An Appointment

During the current Covid situation we have made all initial GP and nursing team appointments telephone consultations only.  Appointments are available on the day and up to 4 weeks in advance.  You can book using online access, My GP phone app or by ringing reception.

Please note that appointment times for telephone appointments are approximate, and may be up to 1 hour before or after your booked time, depending on the demands of the clinic.

Thessaly Road Site

Thessaly Road Practice is open only on Mondays and Fridays between 08:30 and 12:30.

If you have any special needs, or have concerns about talking to us over the phone or by video please let reception know when you book.

GPs can provide most medical care via phone and video to help keep everyone safe, but if you need to come to the building there are a few general precautions for you to take.

  • Please come to the surgery alone where possible, unless you are accompanying a child, need emotional support or an interpreter.
  • Wear a mask or face covering if you can.
  • Please attend for any booked appointments on time, but not early, to reduce numbers in the building.
  • The maximum number of patients in the waiting area is 4; you may be asked to wait outside.

We are trying to get as many of our normal services up and running as quickly as possible, whilst maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.  If you have any concerns please contact reception.

Our emergency doctor remains available Monday – Friday 08:30-18.30 – please ring if you have any medically urgent problems.

Outside these times please go to NHS 111 online, or phone 111.

8 To 8 GP Hub Appointments

You can now be seen by a GP outside of the practice opening hours at one of the 8 to 8 GP hubs in 3 of the Wandsworth localities. The consulting GP will have access to your full medical history and will document the consultation directly into your notes. These appointments are available up to 20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays

You can only be booked into the hub by staff here at the practice who will decide if it is appropriate for you to be given a hub appointment. Please be aware these appointments are limited and are also for other local practices to use also. If in the event there are no appointments at a hub you will be advised to wait for the next available appointment at the practice.

The hubs are at the following locations in Wandsworth:

The Junction Health Centre

Bedford Hill Family Practice

Tudor Lodge Health Centre

Texts, Emails, Phone Calls and Messages

Occasionally we need to contact you; for instance, to tell you about changes to your appointment, to inform you about health campaigns or to give you information about your results and treatment.

We are using text messages increasingly to do this. This allows us to text groups of patients (about flu clinics for instance) or to send information to individual patients (asking you to go attend for an appointment, or to tell you abour a test result). Sometimes we may phone you – and if we ring and can’t speak to you we may not leave a message, but we will try to call you another time.

Please note that, we are unable to ring patients who are not currently in the UK or who are using international mobile phone numbers.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please visit our online cancellation triage, as this will allow us to give the slot to someone else.
