Pride in Practice

Battersea Fields Practice understand the importance of ensuring that all lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people have access to inclusive healthcare that understands and meets the needs of their communities. We are proud to hold a Gold Pride in Practice Award, awarded by the LGBT Foundation.

At Battersea Fields Practice we welcome all patients, and celebrate the diversity of our community. We strive to ensure that all patients are equally valued and respected and oppose any form of discrimination.

We are proud to have been awarded the LGBT Foundation Pride in Practice Gold Award. Pride in Practice is a quality assurance support service delivered by LGBT Foundation that strengthens and develops a GP Practice’s relationship with their lesbian, gay and bisexual patients.  The Gold Award recognises our commitment as a practice to offering equal access to services, address inequalities and tackle discrimination of any kind.

We do not accept racism, homophobia or transphobia towards patients, staff or members of our community.

We are a Safe Surgery, committed to taking steps to tackle the barriers faced by many migrants in accessing healthcare.  Lack of ID or proof address, immigration status or language are not barriers to patient registration here.

If you have any concerns we will listen and take action where needed; we will ensure that the communities we serve are involved in planning and decision making; and we will work hard to address any disparity or difference in how you experience the NHS as a patient or a member of the practice team.

If there’s something we haven’t got right, please contact us through our Ask Reception a Question form.
